The Standard Horizon BQ-160 is specifically designed for cut sheet applications, and offers very simple operation so any operator can easily produce professional quality books with minimal training. The clamp opens and closes with the simple press of a button for operator convenience.
The BQ-160 offers double-pass notching function and produces strong book binds. Notching can be easily set on or off from the touchscreen. The uniquely designed glue tank ensures superior glue application to the book spine for quality binding. A strong nipper mechanism ensures quality book binds and the nipping pressure, nipping height and angle can be adjusted from the touch screen. Perfect binding, tape binding and padding can be performed and tape width can be adjusted automatically by selecting desired width from the touchscreen.
BQ-160 Perfect Binder Features:
With single-person operation, the BQ-160 can produce three popular types of binding: perfect binding, tape binding and pad binding at speeds up to 180 cycles per hour with books up to 1.6" thick.
The BQ-160 Perfect Binder is equipped with an intuitive, icon-based color touchscreen for fingertip adjustment of key parameters for easy set-up and operator navigation.
The BQ-160 includes an electric book clamp, two-way notching, an efficient paper dust vacuum system, nipper height and tilt adjustment from the touchscreen, and a dynamic nipper table for auto book sizing.
Power saving mode (stand-by mode): If the system is not used for a predetermined period, the glue tank heater will automatically adjusts to a lower temperature.
Auto shut down mode: If the system is not used for a predetermined period of time, the system automatically shuts down.
Simple Operation, Quick and Easy Production Steps. 1- Insert the book block and press the start button. 2 - Place the cover and press the start button again. 3 - Glue is applied on the spine of the book. 4 - A cover is applied and book binding is completed.
Add the optional CRB-160 Cover Creaser that communicates with BQ-160 binder! Even heavy-weight cover stock can be used to build crisp,clean and tight books. Eliminate the problem of image cracking of heavier covers and digital printed sheets.
Creasing position is automatically set according to the book thickness inserted into the BQ-160. Depth of the creasing can also be set depending on cover thickness. The CRB-160 Creaser can be set-up through the BQ-160 color touch screen. Cover creasing and a variety of other creasing patterns can be selected from the touch screen.
Scoring position is set automatically according to the book thickness inserted into the BQ-160.
Clean and sharp creases can be made even with heavier and laminated stock.
Stand alone model is also available with an integrated touch screen operation console.
