ColorTac Dry Mount Tissue is a multipurpose dry mount tissue that was developed for maximum versatility. Dry mount tissue is a permanent heat activated tissue used to bond posters and other papers to foam board or other mounting boards. Dry mount tissue is placed between the paper and the mounting board and then put the object in a dry mount press. The press applies heat and pressure which binds the paper to the board.
The tissue is manufactured without the use of solvents and does not require solvents to remove. It activates at 165 degrees F with a dwell time of 2 minutes. The special polymer adhesive allows for bonding at low temperatures and produces excellent adhesion. The tissue adheres well to a variety of substrates and is ideal for mounting RC photographs and fiber based prints.
The tissue is a paper based tissue that is breathable and heat reversible. Its low activating temperature allows for the mounting of heat sensitive items, including, ink jet media. The product is reversible and can be removed at a temperature of 190 degrees F.
If you are interested in mounting material on foam board without Dry Mount Tissue, we also offer heat activated mounting boards and pressure sensitive mounting boards.
